Small Arms - Gastinne Renette Sidelever Single Shot Target Pistol, approximately 1870s production, 11mm center fire, blued steel trigger guard with fine floral scroll engraving, case hardened breach with fabulous matched floral scroll engraved details, walnut frame with deep checkered grips and case hardened buttcap, blued 10-1/4 inch fluted octagonal barrel with engraved details, top engraved "GASTINNE RENNETTE A PARIS," matching serial number of #3 on all individual pieces. A truly fabulous piece of exceptional quality and condition sure to be the star in anyone's antique firearms collection. Includes a faux suede travel/storage case.
CONDITION:
Good action; nearly mint overall cosmetic condition, mint bore with incredibly strong rifling, barrel retains 90%-plus of its original blued finish, turning an attractive plum brown; nearly mint receiver retains 95% of its original case hardened and blue finish, nearly mint blued trigger guard; several small dings to walnut frame.
